Amen to that. To live up to a working week’s worth of hype is no small feat. But the Dodgers and Yankees — the No. 1 seeds in the National and American Leagues who are clashing in the Fall Classic for the first time in 43 years — played a Game 1 very much worth the wait https://tip365.info/.
Nine innings wasn’t enough to settle it, so the Dodgers and Yankees will head ot extra innings. Luke Weaver got the final five outs, with some help from Alex Verdugo for the final one in the bottom of the ninth.
This became the third consecutive World Series Game 1 to go to extra innings, and, thanks to Jazz Chisholm Jr.’s single and two stolen bases, the Yankees had runners on the corners with one out in the 10th. When Anthony Volpe grounded to short, Edman made a nice diving stop on the ball but had trouble with the transfer and couldn’t complete a potential double play. Chisholm motored home.

Game 2 world series
The Yankees were held to just one hit – a Juan Soto home run – while Yamamoto was on the mound and New York starter Carlos Rodón imploded in the second and third innings allowing a combined four runs.
Instead, Mookie Betts pulled a 3-1 fastball from Rondón into left for a single. Betts extended the inning for Teoscar Hernandez and Freddie Freeman to hit the first back-to-back homers by Dodgers teammates in the World Series since 1981, the last time the Yankees and Dodgers met in the World Series.
The 2024 World Series continued on Saturday with the New York Yankees trying to even the series with the Los Angeles Dodgers following a gut-wrenching, 10th-inning loss in Game 1 at Dodger Stadium on Friday, but ultimately coming up short, 4-2, and going down 2-0 in the series.
